Supine Standing Armlock
c) Control Advantages
The standing armlock is easiest and strongest technique to use on any grounded arrestee, but care must be taken against assaults from this positioning.
As a known initial go-to position for a grounded arrestee, the officer can be confident of the steps leading to handcuffing.
PRO TIP: This technique allows for a heads-up positioning that also allows for a quick disengagement if needed and it also leads to several strong ways to rolling a person over (handshake rollover, palm lock rollover, bent wrist lock rollover).
